| Walk
With Massai Warriors Now finished. Thank you to all who walked with the Maasai or attended the performance in Ely Cathedral. Through everyone's generosity, the total amount raised was £1557. This will be used towards the new school being built in the Warriors' community. Please read the quarterly newsletters for updates on the school build and all our projects. "Greetings, we are so happy if you walk with us, please come" Tajeu Minisa, Warriors' leader Don't miss this amazing opportuninty to meet a happy and unique tribe. The Massai Warriors will be walking set routes around the historic city of Ely Cambridgeshire on Sunday 31st October 2010. Why not get involved and have a great day out walking alongside the Massai, or if you don't fancy that, you can help by sponsoring John Curtin, an Osiligi trustee to walk in your place. After the walk, there will be a free performance by the Maasai in the Lady Chapel of Ely Cathedral at 2:30pm. Even if you are unable to attend the walk, please come for the performance. Joining the Maasai on the walk won't cost you anything and there is no minimum amount that we ask for in sponsorship but the more you can raise or donate the quicker you can help us reach our goal in building a primary boarding school for this Maasai community. Why Build a primary boarding school? The school will be the first of its kind in Kenya and will allow orphans and children who live too far from school to attend classes for the first time. For more information, see the school build page Please do something simple to help us by printing out this poster advertising the walk, and display it in your work place - thanks. |
